busy bee

I've been such a busy bee lately. Of course the moment I got back in the office yesterday I had to  jumped right into a master bedroom install. No time to check e-mail, return any phone calls or go through mail. Sorry! We loaded every ones cars up & headed over to the house. I always get excited on install days...  The constant action & chaos. What my life is all about {chaos}. This install was a little different for me this time around... I was showing my new assistant the install ropes. Routine in the chaos. Yes, it's possible to have a calm person doing everything smoothly & keeping the peace. Actually we all hazed her a little the entire day. Hey, you have to have a little fun on the job site! {wink} Here's a little peek of the master bedroom. It looks amazing! Everything turned out just perfect... All the furniture fit  & accessories couldn't have been any better. Yes! Now onto my newest project... Getting a new phone. lol

Ok... I got this iphone for Valentine's Day from my sweet sweet husband. Sean got me on the "list" from Verizon, had it shipped to me & wa la I had a nice little surprise in front of me Valentines Day! I know it's not your average gift... Roses, massage or even chocolate, but oh my I loved it! My husband thinks outside the box. Thanks Sean!

Then... Like always I pile everything on so thick {plans} that I had a mommy moment. It was Saturday afternoon. I had just finally calmed down from a crazy day... Taylor's 5th Birthday Party. I was enjoying my Starbucks iced coffee with my little princess in Cardiff. Then we got the call from the hubby... Where are you? You need to hurry home we have 5:15 dinner reservations with Uncle Dennis. Ok, ok, ok... Taylor & I rushed out to the car... As I opened Taylor's door tons of balloons started to fly out. Then it happened. I put my iphone on top of the car  to push the balloons back inside, buckle Taylor in & Bammmm I forgot it on top of the car! Arghhhh I'm sick now!!!!  This is what happened next...  

The part that kills me the most is... I took so many adorable photos on it from Taylor's birthday party that day & the fact that for me to get a new iphone is going to cost me 600+ dollars. Are you kidding me?!?! I'm sick to my stomach. I can understand 400... But, 600 +. I need another vacation in a padded room! 

  

We did have a fabulous little Birthday Party for Taylor... I love you sweet angel even though mommy will be going to a padded room soon! lol {sorry for the grainy photos... I hit the wrong setting when I handed the camera over to a friend... oh good times!}

eye candy

I'm just drooling over these pictures this morning {thanks Lonny Magazine}. I couldn't sleep last night because I was dreaming of a potential new clients space I saw last night. So of course I start looking at every home decor magazine & design blog for inspiration. My mind is bursting with eye candy right now...

This bathroom makes me very happy... Love that sailboat painting! The middle kitchen with the chalkboard doors is such a winner in my books... How fun for a family! The last kitchen makes me feel very sophisticated... Don't you just want to throw a cocktail party in it? 

 On another note... I'm so excited for this weekend because!

1.) It's the Encinitas Street Fair this Saturday & Sunday {Stop by the rooster & say HI!}.

2.) I'm being whisked away by my sweet husband for a romantic getaway {much needed}.

3.) We're leaving for Palm Springs with the kids this Sunday... Yippee!

In my perfect little organized world I live in {ya right}... How cool would it be to have this when you went to the market. I would flaunt this Market list off like no tomorrow. I would accidentally drop it on the floor & yell out as I was picking it up, Oops I have to get my perfectly organized market list off the floor. Silly me! Ha a girl can dream... when it rains it pours

 

I feel awful because I didn't have anytime yesterday to photograph all the new accessories & furniture pieces that arrived at the rooster. From the moment I walked in the office... The phone was ringing off the hook, we had a constant flow of customers, I was in back to back meetings & my design clients were popping in left & right to chat about their jobs. Oh to top it all off... In the afternoon my mom had to leave to take my daughter to her ballet class. So as I was running the store front I was designing pillows with my seamstress. Thank goodness everyone knows us & understands that we're constantly moving & shaking! {lol} Something must have been in the water! Hey, I'm perfectly fine with that, but wow you should see my to do list {i'll call you back}. Thank goodness for my new assistant because she's starting to really take a load off my shoulders {thank you}. I'm not complaining about anything... I guess I'm just a rambling fool who's very blessed right now. I'm definitely very blessed! I know I'm blessed  but, when it rains it pours! To top everything off my  daughter decided yesterday afternoon to get sick. She's been fighting something since Saturday afternoon. Now I think its kicked in & caught up to my little angel.  Thank goodness Spring Break is next week for my kids. We're going away & having fun! Much needed for all of us. So please leave a message at the beep...

I'm planning my little angels 5th birthday party today. I saw this image last night in the blog world & couldn't help but smile! It's so cute, colorful & simple. I want  to do anything & everything for her... But, realize I really need to hold back because she's only 5. It's more the memories that count at this age than the quantity {or going overboard}. Believe me I'm usually the one to go overboard with everything... Christmas cards {that's a dinner & a drink conversation} to gifts to dinner party planning. Now, I'm trying to simplify & relax with a lot! Take things slow & enjoy life... To the fullest!  Thanks to my adorable husband for bringing me back down to earth {wink}! Can't wait to share all about Taylor's little princess party!  

nutella party

 Well, it happened... We had the long & anticipated Nutella party yesterday! Three little words best describe this get together... Perfect, Delicious & Silly.  I left for one in a total food coma & wanted to go home & sleep, but also educated on so many new & exciting Nutella recipes. Now my life is complete... Thanks girls! {lol}  There was peanut butter cookie Nutella sandwiches, Marbled banana bread with Nutella, Nutella cheese cake, Nutella stuffed pancakes, Nutella chocolate chip cookies, homemade Nutella stuffed into homemade croissants {amazing}... & so much more! Either you all are sick from reading this or drooling... Go with the drool! {wink}
