I know how much you all have wanted to know what my kids were for Halloween this year. I'm sure because of this fabulous blog post I did here... I know the anticipations been killing you... Sleepless nights, constant blog checks... Well, here they are in all their glory! {chuckle}

By the way, Taylor won  the sweetest costume award at her school!  Nice way to get noticed & she's only just in Kindergarten... Go team Scully! The real thanks should go to  my mother... She is a master seamstress/perfectionist so of course Taylor would win! Thank you Grandma!!!!! xoxo 

 

Don't you just love Ryan's red cowboy boots... ? He borrowed them from his sister! How do you tell a 3 year old that a storm trooper doesn't wear red boots? You don't! They're a lot of things you have to give up & go with the flow... Ryan hasn't let grandma make his costumes yet... Target won this year, again!

 

Here's a picture I took really fast of all the kids {cousin Spencer} together ready to go out for trick-or-treating on the 101 in Encinitas. Its a blast!!! If you haven't done it yet... I highly recommend it.

a bit of randomness

Good morning everyone... I have a second to blog before my timer goes off. I'm making fresh pumpkin muffins for today's FALL sale. They were a huge hit yesterday. By the way I wanted to say thank you to all that stopped by... Just to say Hi & who also purchased. Thank you very much!

Get ready, because this post is going to be very random...

 

Well, it's supposed to rain today... That's not going to stop the roosters sale. It's still on rain or shine! Plus, it's the last day of the sale. Go big or go home! {smile}  

Saw this bathroom photo & fell in love. Is it the sink? Sconces? The Dash & Albert rug? Or maybe the entire package! Job well done! By the way, I'm so sorry I don't know the source. I found it in my bathroom photos file. If anyone knows it please let me know. I want to give credit where it's deserved! Well, I'm starting another gut job on a bathroom next week. Remember this post {here}...  What a looker.

This week I'm having a banquette built in my kitchen & I keep thinking I would like to have the bench seat cushion made out of mattress ticking. Am I crazy? I can't get it out of my mind... I'll let you know what I end up doing.

My sweet sweet angel is on an adventure this week with her grandparents in Hawaii. I'm so excited for her, but slightly sad. I  was blessed as a child to spend every summer in Maui ... So those memories are very deep rooted for me. I wish I could have experienced her first trip there with me, me, me! I know I have to give up a few things & let grandma & papa make some fun new memories with  her. She is one lucky little lady! 

I'm in love with this bag... Isn't it pretty!!!! Maybe Santa needs to read this post! {giggle}

My parents are having a little shed/playhouse/office built in their backyard. I've been pulling concept photos  & drafting ideas for them left & right... After I found this photo I think it's the winner. They're also adding shingles & new board 'n  batten to their exterior... So a little board 'n batten  cottage will be a perfect accent to the backyard.  

Last but not least! My assistant & I are flying to meet my new interior design client in San Francisco next week. I can't even tell you how thrilled I am. I'll take tons of pictures. 

Well, you all are saved by the bell... Got to pull the muffins out! Hope to see some new faces today!  Happy Saturday... Stay dry!

multi tasking...

Yesterday, was one of those days...  I tried to squeeze out a few more drops of work while I was playing with my dear friend {her blog}! I know I sound like the bad guy here, but omg we had a great time. The girls danced in the parking lot & I measured as fast as I could!  I found each of my clients something purdy!  Everytime I go I'm  in heaven...

 

Then off to our next destination...  Lala in Laguna Beach. They were having a Labor Day weekend SALE. Oh did I get some good stuff! I always feel like a kid in a candy store when I'm there...  I would definitely stop by if you can. It's such an inviting, colorful & extremely friendly boutique.

 

 

The sun was setting... Our mini Blue Jean Jacket gang were starting to get restless...  So it was only fair that we treated them to some pizza before the night was over!

I'm not going to complain at all... The multi tasking did pay off! I'm happy & they're happy!  Oh what a day!

summer nights

These 3 little kids were up very late last night... Dancing in the bright colored lights & giggling on every ride! Oh to be young again... My heart & soul were filled up with so much love watching their every move!  And yes Ryan is in his Lighting McQueen Pajama Top. He insisted to wear it to the fair {gotta love him}. Summer nights are here!

I'm off to see Cars 2 tonight with 3 kids... Oh My what did I sign up for? I know we're going to have a blast! Ryan will not stop talking about this darn movie. From the moment he wakes up he walks into my bedroom & asks for a Cars 2 birthday party. 1.) I'm still a sleep & my black out blinds are still down & 2.) Ryan's Birthday isn't till April. So you get my point that he's a little obsessed right now. Do you feel my pain? I did promised him we could go tonight. Yippie for me! Then I had to go & open my big mouth & let Taylor invite a friend... Oh let me remind you all Daddy isn't going tonight. It's just me, myself & I! I can do this... It will be fun! So if you see me at the movie theaters tonight just ignore that I have tied all 3 kids together on a huge rope & I have a large drinking object in my hand.  Keep on walking... lol  Hope you all have a fabulous weekend... Any good plans? Please tell!!!

Remember this post {here} well we had a blast putting together one of the Pacific Stations 1 bedroom condo. I can't even tell you how much I had on my plate that week. Mom had her surgery, I had 2 huge projects in construction stage & my daughter was graduating from preschool, we started interviewing for our front store & then I had to run the store. When it rains it sure pours! Gotta love life! Mom is recovering very well... She's been working, but leaving early. I've been manning pretty much everything right now... I love it, but I'm ready for a little quiet time. So when I realized I had committed to this little local adventure. I will admit I panicked at first, said a few not so nice words & then said, its OK I can pull all the furniture from our store. Thank goodness I'm an Interior Designer that has a retail store as well. Lucky! So I picked... They loaded & WA LA this is what you get.

The property management at the Pacific Station didn't want drapery/blinds put up... Plus, they didn't want a lot on the walls. I guess so they didn't have to putty up holes & re-paint. I  completely understand. That took a load of me... Well, I hope you enjoyed your little tour. Despite everything that was on my plate that week I had a blast doing it. We definitely had a lot of fun on a whim!

We've been very busy designing away on a fun local project here in Encinitas. DEMA {Downtown Encinitas Mainstreet Association} has asked us to participate in decorating a space {living/dining} at the new Pacific Station development. We're honored to help in any way we can.  We love our little community... Today is a very special day... No, it's not my birthday {that's in September}... It's Donut Day 2011! Yaaa I know you all can't wait for this day. I sure can't! A reason to stuff my face {shhh}. Forget graduation or the birth of a child  it's Donut Day! {chuckle} I'm debating if I should swing by our local bakery {VG's} & pick up a few slices of heaven & share this magical day with everyone at work. Big decisions here! I think it's GO time... Hey, you only live once, right?!?! Happy Donut Day everyone!!!!

me & my baby

Well, this weekend me & my baby ran the Encinitas 1k together. I can't even tell you how excited Taylor {& mommy} was to do this little run... Originally I was going to have her do the 5k with me, but decided to start her off small. Test the waters... See if she even liked to run with out stopping. Oh my gosh Taylor ran the entire 1k & faster than me. I was cracking up the entire run. I think we have a little runner over here! Ya  Can't wait til next year... Watch out Encinitas 5k here comes Taylor Michelle {maybe Ryan too}!
