Missing one post {the other day} feels like I've short changed you all... Sorry! I've been all over the place with kids, summer vacation, husband vacation & super overloaded with work. I'm not complaining at all... Just trying to sort it all out. But, WOW when it hits, it hits hard! So here's a run down of the fun things that the Scully clan has been up to...

Weekend breakfast burritos... A morning must before the park! I do have to say... Share. They're HUGE!

Here's some words of advice from a local... TAKE OUT... Do not eat inside of Angelo's. Yuck! You will want to turn around & go elsewhere. Take it to go & you're safe. Just close your eye even through the drive through... A little rough! lol

We got the yummy goods... OJ for the kids, HOT coffee for mommy & a bag of burritos to share!

Moonlight Beach park... A fun beach park. The funny thing is we only stay for about an hour at this park then we're off... I don't know why? This happens all the time... Hmmm Makes you think!

Excuse me... You're a little big for the park! Typical daddy move... Always trying to be funny! LOL

Taylor got a BIG girl hair cut... I did tell the lady I wanted a classic cut about 2 inches off her shoulder... A line style. Oh My Gosh... She started chopping & telling me that she has done this for over 30 years. Then proceeded to ask if Taylor wanted glitter strings in her hair. Ya I'm going to pass. Thanks though. I guess she didn't hear "classic" anywhere in the conversation. Psst... She was blinged out herself. lol

Then little man Ryan got his hair cut too... Hey, Nice shirt Mr. Scully! Rocking the rustic rooster T! My number 1 fan!! Love you!!!!

A night at the Del Mar Fair... It was the last night of the fair... I had tons of FREE tickets & I kind of felt guilty I hadn't taken Taylor. So I jumped at the chance & took off. She's young & free right now... So why not! We had a BLAST! By the way look at her BIG girl hair cut. Isn't she beautiful! I can't tell you how sophisticated & old she acts now. Not sure if that's a good thing... But she looks so good!

Taylor on the swings... No complaints at all. She did everything by herself! If some of you were wondering... Yes, I did leave Ryan at home. He's not at the right age yet.. Next year he will LOVE the fair... Plus, I didn't feel like chasing him around & hearing him scream & cry if he couldn't go on a ride. Plus, I'm kind of that mean mom when it comes to bed time... I knew Taylor was messing up her schedule & I didn't want 2 whinny kids the next day. He would have been sooooooooooo tired. I need a little one on one time with my big girl!

This ride was hysterical... She did it last year & couldn't do it. This year she basically just spined in circles... I was crying laughing so hard. That would have made me sick. No thanks!

Well, we {bloggers} did it again... Had another fabulous night out {Thanks Rimmel's... for a yummy meal & perfectly chilled drinks}! I can't even tell you what an amazing & wonderful group of women I've connected with! All we do is inspire, laugh, yell, scream with excitement & constantly ENCOURAGE each other left & right. The pats on the back are endless. I love hearing words like, you're RAD... No way I'm so stocked for you... OH MY that's Gnarly.. I have a friend you should meet... or I'll come by & see you! Love it! When you leave an evening social situation like this you can't help to lay your head on your pillow with a huge smile on your face & have happy thoughts till the next morning. I'm so not complaining. Honestly, all I want to do is get in the office & work, work, work. I know you all think I'm crazy... But remember this is what feeds me. My work is a drug to me. I wouldn't have it any other way...

Girls {Haydee, Bianca, Kendall, Grace, Melissa & Heather}... Thank you for another AWESOME night out! Can't wait for our next adventure together... {international wink}

seashells, sunshine and sparklers...

a sparkling night

For some reason when 4th of July rolls around I always think of 3 things... 1.) My dogs getting so scared & shaking from the firecrackers, 2.) Eating my mothers famous potato salad & BBQ chicken & 3.) Pulling out the lawn chairs all bundled up & watching from our front yard... Lakeside Golf Clubs firework show. Don't ask... But those are my fond memories as a child.

I hope I have started to create memories for my children... Can't wait to sit on the beach this year with the kiddos & watch the fireworks. I think Taylor & Ryan will oh & ahhh this year. Cross your fingers the hazy gray clouds go away so we can enjoy a sparkling night!

:: yummy... orange-ginger margarita ::

Ingredients:
1 can(s) (12-ounce) frozen orange juice concentrate
10 ounce(s) tequila
6 ounce(s) ginger liqueur (like Domaine de Canton)
1 teaspoon(s) grated ginger
4 cup(s) ice
2 tablespoon(s) kosher or margarita salt
Crystallized ginger, optional


Directions:
1.) Place frozen orange juice concentrate (reserve 1 tablespoon), tequila, ginger liqueur, ginger, and ice in a blender and mix until ice is crushed.

2.) Place reserved tablespoon concentrate on a small plate and salt on another small plate. Dip rims of 4 glasses in concentrate and then in salt. Fill glasses, garnish with crystallized ginger if desired, and serve.

i think something's in the water...

It seems like in the last couple of weeks I've been re-doing a lot of fireplaces. Is it my true calling {giggle} in life? No... But, I do enjoy it & love seeing the transformation it does to an entire room {home actually}. HUGE transformation!

Well... The living rooms fireplace is coming along beautifully! Remember this post {here}... It was awful before & now it's looking so good... I can't wait till it's grouted & painted. Just wait for that picture... OH LA LA

I bet you can't guess what I'm doing with this new client of mine... ? Hmmmmm... No, No, No... Sorry wrong answer... Hello... A new fireplace!!! lol I've been doing tons of other things {new paint color in the entire house, new carpet, new furnishings} to their home... & then they asked me. We would really would like to re-do our fireplace. It bothers us sooooooooooo much. Why yes I can... It's my calling in life!!! This one is pretty bad too! Just wait my blogging friends...
