All work & no play for this little lady... But the end results are amazing. I'll start off by saying, working in the interior design business is a very hard & stressful job. The back & forth decisions, the changes in colors or sizes, the hemming & haying over what should go where {acting as a therapist to some clients}, can really take a toll on a person. I've been so luck to have wonderful clients. Especially this one... Tons of smiles & giggles on this job. OK I lied... Giggles all the way! I love to laugh... So working with this family has been a pleasure because they're hysterical. No joke... I have left crying because they're so funny! Yes, Dale I will get you your coupon book {at the end of the job}. So everything that has been ordered, installed & created has been absolutely perfect! Wonderful Karma here! Remember this & this post... So much has transformed in the mean time. I'm waiting for some key pieces of furniture to arrive... Custom farm table, tufted ottoman, classic rolled arm sectional, gorgeous bobbin chairs with tons of monochromatic fabrics, etc... rainy day

I just want to give you all a heads up... Tons of new furniture arrived today.Yes, even in the rain. It was a typical crazy day at the rooster. Unfortunately, I couldn't take any good shots of the furniture because the boys had it all stacked & stuffed in our garage. Plus, I would have been drenched with water if I tried to take some shots. Sorry... I guess you just have to check back tomorrow. WOW, wasn't it a crazy rainy day! I loved it!

I'm working with another new client so fabric is on my mind... Isn't this fabulous fabric. It makes me feel warm & fuzzy {besides the glass of wine sitting next to me}. I need that right now...

Now here's the million dollar question... What would you do with this fabric if you had 22 yards of it?

pumpkin cupcakes + cream cheese frosting

Remember I was supposed to make this amazing Custard Apple Tart... Well, I decided to change it up & make Pumpkin Cupcakes with Homemade Cream Cheese frosting. I started dinner {old fashion homemade chili} & then started mixing the cupcakes. I new the kids really wanted to eat them that night so I decided to pop them in the oven while we were eating dinner. I usually start baking after dinner & then they eat whatever I have baked the next day because it's too late in the evening to be eating sweets. My plan worked this Sunday. The dishes were done... The oven rang & warm pumpkin cupcakes were ready to eat. So the kids {including my husband & myself} got in our PJ's, sat on the couch & watched, How to train a Dragon & gobbled up our goodies. I do have to say, we had a wonderful Sunday despite the rainy weather... We were so cozy & crazy together! Hope everyone else had a great dry weekend...

1 stick of unsalted butter

1 8oz of cream cheese

2 to 3 cups of powdered sugar

1 tsp. of Vanilla

For years now I have been in love with the most quaint little stationery store in Los Angeles... It's called Sugar Paper. Their passion for keeping hand written stationery alive & fresh is evident. I feel today people are losing tradition & etiquette. No one writes hand written thank you cards or even really says, please & thank you now a days. It's so sad.
