coastal yard sale

I think every ones having yard sales... Their must be something in the water! Drink up my fine friends... Drink up! ha ha ha

I just got this image off of Eddie Rosses BLOG. They drank the water too! Good for you Eddie & Jaithan! Hope you sell everything & clean house! I actually love having yard sales. Waking up early, getting my morning coffee, meeting up with friends, talking to complete strangers, & selling off my old/new goodies... That makes my day. Am I weird or what? I'm going to take the weird... So satisfying!

I've made the signs... Now I think I would like to make these stand up individual signs for my moms front yard. By the way that's where we're having the sale {find out on Friday the address}. How cute would that be. I hope I can make them today in the office. Cross your fingers... My plate is so full right now & Melissa is home sick {poor baby}... So were down a woman at the rooster. You never realize how much you depend on some one til they get sick. Hurry back Melissa we NEED you. Of course get better... :)

So don't forget to tell your Friends & family about the...

oh what a day

* Pasadena Rose Bowl Swap Meet *
Sunday, March 14, 2010

OH what a day in Pasadena, California!

I know this post is so long over due {sorry}. I'm still trying to catch up from the night that I went out with EDDIE & JAITHAN. I feel like I'm 1 week behind with everything! Showering, brushing my hair, talking, working & even thinking!

The gang... Alexandra, Grace & Melissa started the day out by taking my husbands truck {thanks Sean} & driving to the Rose Bowl Swap Meet to meet up with a group of BLOGGERS to listen to EDDIE ROSS pick out fabulous flea market finds & describe amazing ways how to use things in our everyday lives. Plus, show us how to transform furniture & accessories into million dollar ticket items {i listened very close}. Love that!

Melissa & Grace working the streets {trying to make some extra cash to buy, buy, buy}

A quick cute shot of the rooster chicks! Ahhh I just want to squeeze you Melissa!

Then we saw this HUGE crowed with name tags on behind a chain length fence... Melissa wondered who was cage fighting today. I quickly re-assured her that they didn't do that here & if it did happen it was housewives fighting for a ramekin in side the walls of the Rose Bowl. We were actually looking for hand held signs in the air that said, EDDIE ROSS TOUR.

Once we got closer we saw him... Our drinking, giggling EDDIE ROSS!

Then the tour began... They talked & talked & talked... {sounded like me at the office}

Eddie demonstrated

Melissa glowed with excitement {she was inspired}!

Grace was glowing too!

Then we all saw this... Love it! So anthropology! We tried to buy it. They wouldn't... They said that it was their display.

It was such a beautiful day in Pasadena... The Rose Bowl was packed with people! I heard that Natalie Portman was there too. Didn't see her though...

We ran into dad & mom {Nick Sr. & Sally}... Mom hustled & dad chatted away with random people. Gotta love that about him! He can go anywhere & make tons of friends {for life} because they will never forget him!

OK I have to tell the truth... My real mission for going to the Rose Bowl Swap Meet was to get a pair of cowboy boots... I saw these gold ones! They were screaming my name... Hmmmm Should I. Hmmmmmm?????????

I looked up & saw this... I really had died & gone to heaven. Gold cowboy boots & BBQ sandwiches. Heaven!

Looked down & saw this. Too cute for a baby's room.

Then the tour was over... The photo opt just began!

The giggles were done with the BLOGGING gang... {our giggles were just starting} Eddie & Jaithan are too cute!

Then the shopping began... What do you think of our new look? Gorgeous darling, just gorgeous!

Wow did we buy & have FUN!

Loading of the tuck... I can't believe we did it & made it back all in one piece!

I just have to say thank you to Melissa & Grace. I had so much fun traveling, gabbing and shopping with you both! Eddie & Jaithan were so much fun to see again. We had a great time catching up & learning from them. If they ever come to a Flea Market in your area... GO GO GO! Please say HI from the rooster chicks! I hope you enjoyed my photos. Once again I'm so sorry for not posting them sooner. Better late than never... Enjoy!

i'm alive

Dinner at Zenbu, Cardiff, Ca... Melissa, Alexandra, Eddie, Jaithan & Grace

OK... I have just now recovered from a fabulous & wild night out with Eddie, Jaithan, Melissa & Grace. WOW... I had a wonderful time! I felt free & young again! I forgot I was married & even had kids... Of course I quickly snapped back to reality when my "husband" text me to pick up milk before I got home for the "kids". Oh what a night! The entire night was filled with laughing, crying, snorting & a few stumbles. I feel like I love Eddie & Jaithan! I love you two! They're hysterical. We never had one moment of silence or awkwardness. So much love to go around. Love, love, love!

Now let me tell my version of the night... {would have had a blog post the other day, but I was hurting a little too much {shhh hung over}} It all started at 5:30 pm. The girls met at Zenbu in Cardiff for a cocktail & a bite to eat before the boys arrived. We wanted to save a table & get comfy at the restaurant as well. Oh did we all right. 3 rolls & 5 plus drinks later the boys arrived. Hugs & air kisses filled the room... A quick hello & then we were off laughing & giggling like little school girls. Once nibbles & drinking were pretty much done we decided to take the party over to rooster chick Melissa's AMAZING home. When I say AMAZING I really mean it. I can't describe the hate, envy, jealous toward this girl {just kidding} that I have. Melissa lives in her grandparents home that she had the opportunity to completely re-design & live in. She had mom & I over one day & I almost fell over & died driving up to her white picket fence... As I walked in & heard & saw the waves crashing at her front door I was speechless! She's a fabulous interior designer... I'm so proud & honored to have her as a junior designer at rustic rooster interiors. OK back to the EDDIE & JATHIAN night... Of course the boys would want to go over & take a peek. I loved seeing their jaws drop too. She hasn't furnished it yet... Hello I could care less about furnishings if I could live there. Give me a couple of bean bags, sun screen & a blanket... OH & some diet coke then I'm really set!
So as the night drifted on we drifted further & further into fits of laughter. My stomach still hurts from laughing so much & so hard. I would love to go out with them again {I will only have water this time}. Good times!
Here are a few pictures of all of us at Melissa's house. Sorry their a little blurry... I did tell you I had a few cocktails that night... So this is what you get.

As you can see we had a great night
{this picture sums up the whole entire night {a blur}}...
Grace said it best,
OH what a night!
Now for are next trick...
The girls {mom, melissa & grace} are going to the Rose Bowl Swap Meet with EDDIE & JAITHAN on Sunday, March 14th.

I'm a little nervous because when I go to the flea market I'm very fast. You would crack up if you saw me... I put my running shoes on & fly through each isle. I really do! I don't waste anytime! Then I call out prices, think... buy or walk. I have to take the kids sometimes so you can understand why I have to go very fast. I know what I'm looking for...Plus, I love a good deal so I buy very low, low, low! I don't know what to expect on this adventure... I do know going with the rooster chicks & Grace will be so much fun! I should bring a little picnic lunch & definitely my camera to document the adventure. Hope to see & meet some new BLOG friends on this trip.
