 Mozzarella, Tomato and Avocado Salad

     1 container cherry tomatoes, cut in half
       1 carton fresh mozzarella cheese pearls, drained
       1 avocado, peeled and diced
       1/3 cup basil, julienned
       2 tablespoons fresh parsley
       1/4 cup lemon juice
       1/4 cup olive oil
       salt and pepper
       baguette-optional

1) In a large bowl, combine the tomatoes, mozzarella, basil and parsley, Set aside.

2) In a small bowl, whisk the lemon juice, oil, salt and pepper. Pour over tomato mixture. Toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.

3) Just before serving the salad, stir in the chopped avocados.

I'm all about flags right now. Hello, 4th of July is fast approaching us! Remember?!?!

I love the look of an American Flag in a home... 

I don't know about you, but the bold and powerful presence of an American flag has such a comforting feel to me. Stable and strong!

In a living room... An American Flag, adds a conversation piece. Oh Where did you get that? How old is that flag?

In a bedroom... An American flag can add as a headboard. Who wouldn't want that behind your back! I do!

Every little kid needs an American Flag in their room or even play room. Builds confidence in a young mind...

I have office spaces on my mind right now. I feel like our design office is getting smaller and smaller by the minute. Fabric bolts arrive... Sample books arrive... Boxes arrive... New inventory arrives... You name it we've got it in our office! It's kind of funny actually! You should see us during lunch. Oh I'm sorry, excuse me... Can you move that so I can sit there. Well, you've gotta do what you've gotta do! I'm so blessed with the space I have, but hey... 

A girl can dream! Right!?!?

I would love to have a barn like office... Detached with tons of space! Oh my look at that sliding door! I could see myself greeting clients with that one. 

 

  

 A well organized office sounds so appealing to me. Fresh flowers every day. Sharpened pencils 24/7 and soft music playing in the back ground. I love organization and simplicity very much. I know every design office is chaotic... But, wouldn't it be nice if it was clean and pretty all day long! 

Once again... A girl can dream!

What's your dream office like?

Well... When it rains it sure pours! As some of you know my father has been a little under the weather lately... He just had back surgery that has been absolutely fabulous for him. Thank God! So with that said, mom and I feel that introducing the chickens to the rustic rooster will be  a little too much for her to handle at this point. This was moms project she wanted to take on herself and now feels guilty having everyone else take care of them for her. I would offer, but I already take care of two animals 4 and 6 in age. haha  So with that said, we would like to give our chickens away for FREE. We still aren't sure what they are yet.. Rooster or Hen? I would love to see all of them go home together.They're one big happy family... That's my only request {smile}.
