GO! It's vacation time for the Scully's! Yes!!! I'll be out of the office till next next Tuesday... Don't get mad if I don't return calls or e-mails. Sorry I'll be relaxing, soaking up some sun, diving into a new book, drinking adult drinks, playing with my kids & enjoying some preciouse moments with my husband. Ahhh pure bliss!  Santa Barbara here we come...  

final touches...

I almost think doing the final touches on a project  take the longest to complete. I stand... Analyze... Walk away & then come back to a room... Remove, add... Etc. So right now all the little details are come together. Final pillows for each room, flowers... Etc. I'm starting to feel the pressure lift off my shoulders. Oh what  a feeling! Come on final touches... Lets get her done! Happy Sunday everyone!

I've only had 1 week to complete this entire home in Solana Beach... I will admit I'm extremely tired right now.  My family vacation to Santa Barbara on Monday is looking very good to me. On the flip side this house is starting to look absolutely amazing! I would definitely move in... Once again I swear old bones make for the perfect house! Hope you all have a very relaxing weekend. It's gorgeous out! Finally we see some sun!

This flower box brings pure joy to  my heart & soul... The flowers are absolutely stunning! I do believe the vibrant pink flowers seal the deal for me! Are you captivated... ?  Now I feel like I need to go garden... The littlest things, like gardening make me feel pretty! {don't ask why... lol}

i heart solana beach

Welcome to the Solana Beach cottage! I'm doing this entire house in pretty much 1 week {remember this post here}... It's fabulous, but definitely needs a lot of TLC.  I love homes like this... They have character & charm. You can smell the history. Closets have growth charts from the previous kids. Gardens are still blooming from the last mother who planted it.  Fireplaces have logs in it from the last fire  & floors still creak where you open & close that closet door. That's so refreshing to me... I love it's history to hold on to & make new memories to carry on!  Your pretty lucky if you have that in your home... Hold on to it & cherish it! You're special because your not like the rest of your neighbors!

Now here's the crazy/fun part for me... Everything has to be done by Sunday at the latest... Because 1.) The home owners are flying in from New York & 2.) I'm leaving for Santa Barbara on Monday. OMG!

Everyday something new is being added & hung on the walls... I love it! Here's a little peek... I'll take more photos later. More furniture is being delivered tomorrow. It's turning out amazing!
