we're back!

Hi everyone! Oh my it feels like a lifetime since I've blogged. hi hi hi It's so good to be back! As many of you  know the rustic rooster shuts down Christmas day though New Years. We've done this every year for 12 years now. It's a rooster tradition... I know it might frustrate some, but it's really the best time for us to spend time with family & friends. Plus, we get to re-charge our mind, body & souls! Damn it feels good! I love our tradition! I'm just getting back into the office today... we saw... we conquered Santa Barbara in a week! I absolutely love it there! The homes are just adorable, the stores are fabulous, the style is exquisite & the food is delectably delicious! I'm refreshed & recharged to conquer the world now! The kids go back to school on Monday... We got all of our unnecessary wiggles & giggles out, so now it's time for me to beat the streets & get some work done! See you all Tuesday bright & early! Hope everyone had a great week... ?!?! I sure did {even got a little tan too}!

GO! It's vacation time for the Scully's! Yes!!! I'll be out of the office till next next Tuesday... Don't get mad if I don't return calls or e-mails. Sorry I'll be relaxing, soaking up some sun, diving into a new book, drinking adult drinks, playing with my kids & enjoying some preciouse moments with my husband. Ahhh pure bliss!  Santa Barbara here we come...

Can't you just picture yourself relaxing in that bathroom... & doing absolutely nothing? That's music to my ears! Pure peace & quiet! Can you hear it... ? If you listen very closely... shhhhhh

I would like this sink in my kitchen! You really could put it anywhere in a house {bathroom, mud room, on a back porch...etc.!!!!} That skirt is divine. Do you know how many rolls of paper towels I could store {hide} under there? Millions!!!

Ahhh look he left towels out just for me... Thanks Tom!

Isn't this little Salt Box to die for... ? A perfect little beach house for me to relax in with my family! I could get a lot of work {rest} done here. I think my brain has gone to vacation mode. In due time...yes, in due time!

European Vacation

They have landed... Their in France!

I can picture them right now... Strolling along the waters edge holding hands & talking about the grand kids or maybe me! Just kidding! But the two love birds are I'm sure adorable together. All I have to say is that I hope my relationship grows the way theirs has grown... Lovers & best friends... Still (forever)! They're inseparable. Too cute! I'm sure your wondering who I'm talking about... It's my parents, Nick & Sally von Gymnich.

For those of you who didn't know... My mother & partner at the rooster Sally is off to France with my dad (Nick Sr.)! Soooo not fair... Just had to get that off my chest! No, I'm really happy for them. She will be enjoying a nice gorgeous vacation with my dad... Much NEEDED for her & him too! I know I have told all of you before, but mom really is the rooster. She does soooo much! I have to pick up where she left off... Hope I can do it as well as her! Cross your fingers & pray for me. Ha ha ha

I'm so not lying... I feel like this is my family... The Griswold's! I was very fortunate to travel a lot as a child. My family went everywhere & did everything together... & grandma (Gigi) came too... Go von Gymnich's! So much fun.

Mini Vacation

So sorry for the lack of posts . . .

The Scully clan took a much NEEDED vacation with some good friends to Palm Desert this last weekend. We had an amazing time! Of course I was the one taking all the shots so you won't be seeing me in any of the photos. Isn't that the way it always works . . . You never see mom in any of the shots. Tough break being a mom!

Pool side at the Condos . . . Not bad!

Beautiful Spanish haciendas . . . Very nicely done. I could see myself living in one. I know I'm the cottage girl, but I crossed over a little this last weekend. Loved it!

Ryan couldn't get enough of the water. This was his first real water experience and we couldn't keep him out . We had one of those floating suits for him to wear, but he didn't like it. So next time Ryan will wear a vest like his big sister. Of course we don't promote running by or around the pool but, these shots crack me up. You should have heard me, Ryan NO running, slow down, stop! I'm surprised my voice didn't go.

Our little mermaid . . . Taylor absolutely loves the pool. If she had her way she would stay in it all day. I 'm so happy I got her the vest to wear in the water because I didn't have to worry about her falling in. She was such a big girl and floated everywhere! Now we have to re-enroll her in swim lessons. Noonan Family Swim school here we come!!!

These little water squirting turtles were genius. I finally got a shot without kids . . . Fun!

Once again my husband did a great shot . . . Move over Alex here comes Sean, PRO PHOTOGRAPHER! I guess I need to learn from him now! Thanks (OK, Sean needs to wear a helmet, because he's getting a big head about his shots! . . . Shhhhhh Don't let him know I told you all that)
