I could stare at these pictures for hours. The precious pine dresser for a little girls room, kids bathroom {love the bench, sink, color turquoise & high wains coating} & vintage table & chair for the train enthusiast... Ahhh to be a kid again! OK... That's it, I'm declaring today kids day {only for an hour}! Hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do!

words can't really describe...

how I feel right now! I can tell you what happened though...
I saw this little 900 sq. ft. Santa Monica Cottage on MSN yesterday on my computer in the office & literally almost fell over, hit my keyboard, wet my pants, went into a fit of rage, drooled all over myself, stopped breathing & passed out. WOW
Sometimes that's very normal for me... Working in the interior design field... I see a lot of things that I want {would like}. I think I should have a defibrillator next to me or in my car. Just in case I fall over someone can grab it & bring me back to life.

I'm 100% not lying when I say that I really adore & want this cottage or one like it. I can't stand over built, huge mega mansions... That have NO charm what so ever. Take over your entire lot & you have a little patch of grass & then when you pull up to the house it's basically in your face on the street. Nope that's not me at all. I'm all about the classic cottage.

Sean & I were talking {dreaming in bed} last night about this cottage... We would like to build or find something basically like this & just add a little more square footage {better quality of life} to it. We also were saying that this cottage was probably 1.5 million dollars in Santa Monica... PB has cute little cottages, but I'm a north county girl. If any of you see a cottage like this please call me, 760.436.2171.

Ahhh My day is so sunny & bright {even though it's going to rain here in SD} after looking at these pictures again... I love my job! Back to designing!

keep on trucking...

Today is going to be a busy one for me! I'm having a little mole surgery. My dermatologist needs to do a large biopsy on a mole on my back {yuck}...

:: Just need a little LOVE today {i'm accepting hugs} ::

Then I need to run 2 1/2 miles today for my 1/2 marathon training. Hope my back won't hurt. The procedure will be done right by my bra line. Ouch! I'm thinking very positive today. Positive!

I was going to take a picture of the suspect, but I didn't want to lose all 5 of my strong rooster followers & gross them out. Good choice! LOL Enough about that yucky stuff!

Last night I was pretty busy as well... {story of my life}. I took those large white ginger jars from the rooster to my house & tried them in my master bedroom... What do you think?

I like them very much... They are so strong & masculine looking! I kept looking at them last night in bed... & dreamed of all the places I could put them. One day in my new {one day} home they will look gorgeous! My traveling Ginger jars with my circus kids!

On another note... I cooked an amazing dinner last night... I kind of like this creative cooking thing! I've been finding balance so I have more time & energy {eating healthy & working out} to cook. Yaaaaa Here's a few photos to show you my step by step cooking process... Ahhh looking at these photos. It's making me so hungry right now... Enjoy!

good morning!

Good morning San Diego!
Last night I made homemade Maple-Nut Granola. Yummy! I saw a picture in the Martha Stewart, Everyday Food Magazine... It looked so good that I just had to try & make it. Sorry, I didn't take pictures of the before cooking process. I was juggling kicking kids out of the kitchen, cleaning & trying to read the recipe. Well, I did it. I knew my biggest & hardest critique would be honest with me & tell me if it was good or not... Sean loved it! Thank goodness! Then I presented it to the kids this morning... Hmmm Ryan is riding his tri-cycle around the house & Taylor is enjoying eating it. I think it was a huge success... Try & make it for your breakfast tomorrow morning. I rate it a 10 on easy to make & 10 on yummy to eat!

Opppps... Did I get you? Sorry for the drool... I'm having a little bit of a problem today. I can't take my eyes of these photos. Gorgeous! Today they're going to be my inspirations. One, I have to finish designing a master bedroom from head to toe in Solana Beach & two, I need to pick out paint colors for the 3rd flip house I'm doing. I'm so inspired... But I had better close my mouth & stop drooling!

{1} start day

Well, Today's the day I start my training... You ask for what? Yes, the Coney island hot dog eating contest, Yummy! Just kidding! I'm really serious about this losing weight, looking & feeling great thing. I'm in my 30's & I feel like life is passing me by because of my workload, involvement with the kids & insecurities {weight}... So I'm doing this for ME! ME ME ME I need to training for a 1/2 marathon & eat right. I think I told you all that I ran the San Diego Rock 'n' Roll marathon a long time ago... But, I didn't train correctly. I completed the marathon, but not on top of my game. When I hit 20 mile mark... WOW did I hit the wall. I used to run in college & then after, but after the rock 'n' roll marathon it turned me off from running. I hated it... Now I'm back. I feel my fat just jiggle away {sorry Oprah moment}. So this time I want to do it right, the correct way. I'm kind of excited about it... 2 babies, a husband & an awesome business later I'm going to do it!
I'm going to start training with my cousin/running partner Polly. We have always leaned on each other to work out & run. She ran the marathon with me & kicked butt. She did soooooo well! Go Polly... Go Go Go {Polly has a husband & 4 babies}! She found us a boot camp for our off days of running. It's in Encinitas. I think it will be great! I know I'm all talk now, but I really want to prove/show you all I can do it!!!
I still have to pick the 1/2 marathon to run. Hmmmm I've looked at a few. Here's what I've come up with:
1.) Hyannis, Cape Cod - 1/2 Marathon
2.) Santa Barbara - 1/2 Marathon
3.) Maui - 1/2 Marathon
4.) Kona - 1/2 Marathon
That's where I've stopped looking right now... But, I'm not done yet. Do you have any recommendations of 1/2 marathons. I really don't want anything hilly. I think the Santa Barbara one will be because of the Santa Ynez mountains. I have to do more research... Maybe on a secrete romantic getaway with the hubby to the Bacara. Wouldn't that be nice! All for the research...
Now, you all know my little burning desire...
Hey, maybe the rooster should start a running club & we meet in front of the rooster to all train together. OH MY GOSH.... That sounds fun! Should we? Would any of you do it? If we get more than 10 people maybe we should. Make a "comment" if you would like to & that will determine if we should....
Have a happy day today!

sweet sweet T

On Friday Miss Taylor & myself stopped by our favorite little local bakery, Elizabethan Desserts to get Teresa {the kids call her T} our nanny a little love cookie for V day. Our family absolutely adores her... She has been so good to me & my little ones that I want to always shower her with gifts to say thank you. If you don't feel appreciated where ever you work, why would you want to work hard or in my case be good to my children. She has worked for us for 4 years now... She is apart of our family!
Taylor saw this cookie & said, This is the one I want for T. Good choice Taylor, Good choice... T will love it! She sure did!

Sweet sweet T... We LOVE you!

love is in the air

Look what I got... I have to say I feel so special when my husband comes home with an arrangement like this. They're absolutely GORGEOUS {thanks A}! I don't care what women or men say about Valentines day... Girls LOVE getting flowers {big or small}! I don't need a diamond or a fancy restaurant all I need is a hug & a little love mixed in with an arrangement like this. Then I'm set! OK I lied... I need a chicken burrito & Diet Coke too. Then I'm really really set!

I LOVE you Sean... Thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart... for my flowers! I'm one lucky lady to have a man like you! Ahhhhh love is in the air!
