I think I need these for my refrigerator. I have plastic containers that are constantly getting stained from food or disfigured from the dishwasher. Aren't they pretty? Shhh can you hear that... They're calling my name! Alex, take us home... We'll make your food, life & refrigerator so happy! Done deal if that happens. Glass containers come to momma! Do any of you use these types of glass containers? Please let me know what you think of them! Good or bad?
I switched to glass storage containers from World Market and LOVE them.
ReplyDeleteOh I didn't know World Market carried them... Tomorrow that's my mission... Project clean up! Thanks for the info.!!!
ReplyDeleteI have these (they look exactly the same) from Crate & Barrel. I love the look of them--only thing is that sometimes I find them a little heavy when they're full (and you need two hands to pull them in and out of the fridge so it can be awkward), so I end up using my plastic Gladware more often out of sheer convenience (or laziness)!
ReplyDeleteI have a few of these that I got when we got married. I agree with the last comment...they tend to get a bit heavy and they're a little more bulky in the fridge and take up more room. But they ARE prettier!
ReplyDeleteI have been using snapware which I like better because they are glass, but have hard plastic snap lids that stay on well. I even put them in the kids' lunches (with leftovers). Costco has a whole set for $30.00 which is the best price I have found yet. The set has several different sizes. I have a few of the set you show, but the lids sometimes slide around. They are really pretty, though. I love glass!
ReplyDeleteAnonymous & Shelly good to know... When I'm in the kitchen juggling food with 2 wild ones running around... Heavy isn't good. I know what will happen next, bam everything will be on the floor broken. lol
ReplyDeleteSheila I'm off to cost co tomorrow... I'll check out those. Thanks!
I get caught up in the “pretty" world & then have to come back to reality because of my wild things.
Thanks for the heads up!!!
Glass is all I use for fridge leftovers. It's not only nicer to look at but much healthier than toxic plastic.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I admit..... I do use plastic when I take food to the beach.
see you at the nutella party!
I have those exact ones and I love them.
