I've been dying to show you a job that I've been working on in Encinitas for a while now. Another "super loving" + "too cool" local family that I'm working with... Thank goodness because I have so much on my plate that if I were to get a bad client or should I say a difficult client at this time, I think I would... OK I'm going to say it... Freak out & move to a tropical island... Bye Bye rooster! Hey, we all have our moments! Sorry, back to this house... It's turning out fabulous! Definitely your seaside home, but has pinches of modern touches thrown in. Loving it! I'm liking the creative twist that we're doing! Can't wait to show you more pictures from this house! It's kind of a funny story... Are you sitting down? Well, about 8 years ago Mom & I wanted to have labels made for our custom pillows that we offer. So professional! Some how we got connected with a label maker in Los Angeles. We do so much business in LA that we just decided to stop by & see what the deal was. Well, after we entered a shady office building in China Town, we went up to an no name office suite where we ended up ordering I believe over 50, 000 to 100, 000 custom labels. I think mom & I peed in our pants from laughing so hard when they told us that was the smallest order they have ever done. First off I can't believe we ordered right then because mom is a "lets think this through" type of orderer... Maybe it was the ladies thick accent that scared us so we did it. I think we wanted to just get out as fast as we could!!!

Hello, 8 years later we still have boxes of our labels. I couldn't tell you the name of the company, how much they were or where we got them from. So don't ask! {ha ha ha} I think I'm going to start using the labels on my kids clothes at school. Wouldn't that be funny!!!!! I'm cracking myself up right now... So I think I'll stop while I'm ahead!

Now when you walk into the rooster look at our pillows & our labels {wink}!

We re-painted the room a soft sea foam & all the trims/beams in the house high gloss white. Love it! When I go back I will take more shots to show all of you...

I love my little kitchen light... Its an old alabaster lamp with a white linen shade. The two compliment each other so very well... I actually wanted the lamp to originally go in Taylor's room when she was born, but it was just to petite in the space I had planned for it. That's fine with me because it has a wonderful new home next to the sink & my original oil by our dear friend Barbara Baumgartner. Another favorite in my kitchen {shh I have so many paintings from Barbara I think I'm a dealer now}. Oh so much to talk about in my kitchen... Want to have some coffee?

Growing up in Saltwater Sandals as a young child was like wearing a seat belt for me as an adult {get my point}... I lived in them! So of course I put my daughter in them... Guess what... My daughter, my sweet angel, my love, my precious little gem... Decided to break the tradition & refuse to wear them. Why, Taylor why? They're so darn cute! Little ones... Please don't listen to Taylor if she tells you they're not fashionable, cute, cool or perfect to complete an outfit. Do Not Listen to her! Wear them with your head up high... You will look beautiful & adorable!

My newest drink LOVE... I was introduced to this energy drink by my husband. It all started on a rainy night. I was telling Sean that I was going to Henry's to get a B-12 shot because I feel warn down & tired from so much work & the kids. He asked how much was that? $30.00... But, it's once a month.
